I remember lunch for 2 costing around $60 10 years ago at Prarie

More reasonable:
A half block north of Prairie, on Dearborn (between Van Buren and Congress - east side of the street) is the Dearborn Street Oyster Bar.. Very good. Great, inexpensive scrod sandwich.. substitute new potatoes for the fries... cheap.. Move up to excellent talapia or jambalayas and gumbos... seafood platters and more.

Heading south on Dearborn from Prairie are a number of places ranging from the pricey, Printers Row, to an excellent Thai restaurant, an italian sandwich shop the gets a little more upscale every year (I think they now serve on actual plates and take your order from the table) There are a number of other fairly fast food places of different types. at the south end of the street on Polk Street in the old train station is Cafe Louis
(Louie?)<sp?> on Clark and Polk is Blackies.. an old bar that dates back to the 40's at least, with great burgers.. tuna Caesar salads.. interesting pasta and more..

Ogilvy Transportation Center is what we longtimes know as the Chicago and Northwestern Rail Station (Metra).

So, I'll throw in my 2 cents. I like Rivers at 30 S. Wacker. They have food in both the bar and the restaurant itself. Bar is cheaper. Good sandwiches, pasta, salads and soups. I love the Corn Chowder and the Crab Cakes are very yummy.

There are tons of folks in those stylish yellow trading jackets everywhere.
