Scooters Cafe on Balmoral & Ravenswood is a friendly, small place in a quiet neighborhood. I'm biased (friend of the owner and operator), but since he doesn't toot his own horn or get off it and advertise, I will. New City rates the french toast best in the city and the rest of his menu isn't shabby either.
