Have been to Prarie 3 times. It's menu features ingredients from the Midwest. The cooking is excellent. I've had very good meals each time I've been. They will serve some dishes family style. One time we had the best sugar snap peas I've ever had in a restaurant.

Prairie?
My husband and I ate at Prairie once. The food was prepared very well, but when they advertise Midwestern cooking, they mean it. Bland and boring. And WAY overpriced. Not much to choose from on the menu, either . If you want to spend around a $100 on a dinner for two (including appetizer, bottle of wine, and dessert) skip Prairie and go to La Strada (absolutely wonderful Italian food, located in the Loop). /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ Katrina Magnuson, Research Librarian Chicago, Illinois [email removed]
