Jumer's Castle Lodge has good food according to my parents (I ate there 20 years ago but don't remember much about it). There is also an interesting place right downtown on the river in the former train station that I don't remember the name of (I ate there a month ago and enjoyed it). Peoria is small enough that you will find this latter restaurant easily if you walk to the river from anywhere in the downtown area. I also ate at the one and only Thai restaurant in Peoria (again I don't remember the name, but like I said, from looking through the yellow pages it appeared to be the only one). It was good but pretty expensive.

The restaurant on the riverfront is River Station and is quite popular; it also has a big menu. Jumers Castle Lodge is also very good---great European atmosphere, excellent food and friendly service. It is not downtown, so if you're not familiar with Peoria you might want to get detailed directions from someone. Dave
