It is as amazing as they claimed. I lived in Indonesia for many years and the restaurant was as good as Malay food gets in Chicago. The spicy green beans cooked in shrimp paste and the squid dishes were especially wonderful. Moreover, if is very inexpensive. We agreeed that if we could, we would all eat there once a week!

I can't vouch for what was in the umbrella drinks we saw going to other tables, but perhaps they thought you meant hard liquor? They are definitely serving beer and wine (and it is printed on the menu). : On 20 Dec 1998 15:17:07 GMT, "Kathleen M. Adams" : wrote: :>It is no longer BYOB. Went to Penang last evening for dinner. It was great, appeteasers and dinner (Indian Chili Chicken, Vegetable Curry and and and too much sake one other entree flat noodles, seafood, veggies) was fabulous. According to the host they have a light liquor license (beer & wine and we were served sake at the table), the full liquor license is supposed to be processed within the month. Given that there are drinks on the menu (I'm really curious about the drink called AK-47?) it would seem that it's part of the original plan and just taking longer (no you have to pay off... too). Very el convenient... G W. wrote: > On 22 Dec 1998 06:36:50 GMT, "Kathleen M.
