There's one at the corner of Golf and Algonquin in Rolling Meadows (or maybe that corner is Arlington Heights, I never remember where the border is). I don't think it's open yet, but it probably will be soon - it looks finished. _______________________________________________________________________ Dan Blum [email removed] "Let it be granted that a controversy may be raised about any question, and at any distance from that question." - Lewis Carroll

Pappadeaux
Back in February 1998, someone posted about Pappadeaux. It wasn't until tonight that we had a chance to try it.... and I'm sorry we waited so long. It was fantastic!!! It's located on Golf Road, between Arlington Hts Road and Algonquin. It's a *seafood/cajun* restaurant. Seats about 750 people. Oyster Bar. Loads of ambiance. Dixieland Band. We started off with Seafood Gumbo, and Blackened Shrimp & Scallop Fondeaux. The main course was a seafood combo on a skewer, with "dirty rice". There was garlic bread and terrific coffee. The food was hot, spicy, and delicious. They didn't skimp on the seafood, as there were lots of shrimp, scallops, etc. The service was friendly, attentive, and helpful. As much as we wanted to, there was no room for dessert, although the Bread Pudding w/Bourbon Sauce or the Sweet Potato Pecan Pie looked tempting. It was well worth the drive. Go early, the place was packed by 7:15pm. ======================================================================== Modem: (630) 289-0034 * Telnet://olimits.com * http://www.olimits.com DOMINANT ILLUSIONS, Explore the limits of BDSM with Chicago's premier scene related BBS and Web Service. 10 day free demo access available.
