They are especially popular and good. I have eaten at most of them in Texas (Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, and the one here), and I would say they are worth the money to dine there.

The Oriental Seafood House sounds interesting. We've been to the New China Buffet at 75th and Lemont Road. It was OK. The Jockey Restaurant at 61st and Cass is a very good Chinese restaurant. Dave

The food at Uncle Lou's is quite good. Didn't know they had a buffet. If you want a buffet, it would be a good bet. Plus Uncle Lou has a sushi bar. Dave

A much better lunch buffet can be had at Uncle Lou's which is near the corner of Cass and Chicago Ave. near Nature's Best Foods. They have an excellent buffet with fantastic steam dumplings and good tofu dishes as well as the standards. Not as much as the Phoenix in asfar as the number of dishes but the quality is excellent and they have sushi at night. Rich Spencer

I am willing to re-try it, but it seems like Bub is a little less picky with the amount of grisle/fat that ends up in my pulled pork (compared to Red Hot & Blue or even Famous Dave's). Could've just been the pig's fault, it's hell getting them to diet.

Uncle Bub's on Cass Avenue in Westmont just south of the Metra rail tracks. Awesome pulled pork, beans, and ribs! Just went to Uncle Bub's this week. It's a nice enough place, but we didn't enjoy the flavor of their sauce. The ribs were cooked OK and meaty, though. Seems to be a matter of taste. The homemade cherry crisp was pretty bad - lots of gloppy pie filling and mediocre crust. Dave

Yes, my wife and I have eaten there. Pretty good "Q" compared to other places in the area. I purposely avoided Uncle Bub's as my father in-law is diabetic; the lure of the sauce would have been too much for him. Brian

We ended up at Lo Mein (on Odgen Ave. in Downers Grove). It's one of my wife's favorite lunch haunts. Food is very good. I will try Uncle Lou's, though. Thanks again - Brian
