There's a place on the west side of Broadway about 61 or 62 hundred north called Patio Beef. I had a hot dog there today that was quite good. It was your standard Vienna Beef dog, Chicago style (ie, everything but ketchup, and add some celery salt and sport peppers.)

BUT...the sport peppers turned out not to be your basic jalapeno. Rathter, they were the kind of hot peppers normally used with Italian beef and let me tell you they were outstanding. They took that dog to another level.

BTW this Patio Beef place seems like a find. Two of Chicago's finest were there, and one of them couldn't decide between the chicken sandwich and the fish sandwich so he ordered both. My son ordered the fish & chips (cod, $3.25) which came with fries and a delicious Greek salad. And I have had many a Greek salad in my increasingly long life. The milk shakes were made from scratch with real milk & ice cream.
