And I believe the town is Lombard. Russ Sehnoutka

Great red snapper. Thanks for the suggestions. Michael Michael S. wrote: > Can't recall the name of a great Greek resturant I ate at last year in that > area. I think it was near Butterfield Rd. I ate there last summer and the Lombard Greek Islands was a major disappointment compared to the Greektown one I've visited on and off for years.. The place was nice but the food just wasn't very good.

Costas is excellent. I've been there a number of times with my wife and other acquaintences. Every dish was always well prepared, properly served and very tasty. The service was very attentive without being pretentious. Regarding the other replies referencing Greek Islands - I can't stand the Lombard location. Annoying service, when there is service. And, always, overpowering grape leaves (yuk). I had one gawd-awful dining experience there and swore I would never go back, yet was talked in to giving them another try. While it wasn't as bad, I wasn't impressed either - and the grape leaves are still awful. The Greek Islands in the Greektown location does get my nod of approval. Different management, perhaps?
