Pete Millers is indeed great for the North Shore but I was not too happy with their Steak Au poivre. Just a _little_ too much pepper. By no means consider this to be a negative review however, They are excellent. Great jazz too, and i'm not even a jazz fan! rmoburg wrote in message ... >Jude C. wrote: > >>Felis C. wrote: >> >>> I'll be in Chicago for a few days later this fall. I would heartily recommend the Chicago Chop House, consistently listed as one of the US' Ten Best. I've always had good service and great steak there. I prefer dining in the piano bar area on the ground floor.
Best steakhouse in which to see and be seen: Gibson's Best "Chicago experience" steakhouse: Eli's Best dry-aged prime beef: Millenium Leah Zeldes

I believe you are referring to Myron and Phil's Steak Seafood & Piano Bar. It's a local institution. It's on Devon Avenue which is 4 blocks north of Peterson and 1 block east of Pulaski Road at 3900 West. PS, from the looks of the parking lot in the evening, reservations would be a real good idea. It's a mixed commercial and industrial area, so there is no specific cross street right there. However, it's immediately adjacent to the railroad crossing, if that helps. As far as the quality, I haven't personally been there, but it has been there a long time and it must be good enough for politicians to use it as a location to announce candidacies and hold fund raisers. I hope that helps! --------------------------- In the Land of the Blind The One-Eyed Man is King
