Easily my favorite breakfast spot in Chicago is the West Egg Cafe. They have the absolute best frnech toast.

Not sure about the street names but it's right across the street from the downtown Holiday Inn.

The West Egg is located on Fairbanks and Ontario, in the Streeterville neighborhood.

I have never been to Jordan's, but the Eccentric is good and fairly reasonably priced. In the same neighborhood, I would recommend _Scoozi_ a playful but very good Italian restaurant and Hat Dance, a Japanese/Mexican place that works better than you would think.

Right downtown, I would recommend Trattoria No. 10 for elegant Italian food. It is especially good for a pre-theatre dinner. On the South side of the loop, in Printer's Row, I like Prairie, a restaurant focusing on foods cooked with regional ingredients.

Have fun.
