My favorite Chicago pizza is Malnatti's. Specifically, the one in Lincolnwood, the original. Thirty years ago it was Uno's or Due's, but I think they went down after Malnatti left them. Like the guy says, though, it's a Chicago thing. I lived in Philly about ten years ago, and brought some co-workers into Chicago one night, and introduced them to Malnatti's. These were guys of Italian descent who grew up in South Philly on pizza that you had to fold up the slice to eat. Their take on Malnatti's -- it's great, but it's not pizza! It's a Chicago thing, first of all, and then it's a matter of taste. But for the best quality ingredients, Malnatti's is the one.

Lou Malnati's is at 6649 N. Lincoln Avenue in Lincolnwood- this week that road is closed off just (south?) of there, so you'd take Touhy to Lincoln (about a half mile east of I-94), then turn southeast on Lincoln, it's on the east side of the street just south of Pratt. 847-673-0800 There's also one in Wilmette at 3223 Lake, personally I like the one in Buffalo Grove.
