I strongly disagree with dottie and everyone else who thinks Margie's ice cream is any good. I haven't been there in a while but from what I remember the ice cream seemed like the kind of stuff you get out of big buckets for three dollars. It also appeared to be infused with artificial coloring. Yes, that kind of vanilla-flavored ice cream. You go to Margie's for the kitsch and to get a sugar high, not for the supposedly good ice cream. A year ago I would have recommended Oberweis but now I'm pretty dead set against stabilizers and hydrogenated oils in my ice cream. I don't have a recommendation but I do have a related question... does anyone have a favorite place to get gelato?
