Hmmm, kinda depends on "not too pricey." I really like the Hat Dance restaurant on Huron and Franklin. Dinner for 2 with appetizer, entre, & desert (no booze) will run you about $50. Scoozi is fun too. That's down the street from Hat Dance, I believe. Dinner for 2 there will run you about the same.

If that's too pricey, then there's Ed Debevic's. It's a mock up of a 50's style diner with rude wait staff and everything! Dinner for 2 there will run you less then $20.

Chinatown in excellent. The Hong Min restaurant it my fave. Three Happiness is cool, too.

If you wanna go a little more pricey, Bistro 110 at 110 E. Pearson is an excellent place.

Then there's Harry Caray's and Michael Jordan's restaurants. These have pretty good, if slightly overpriced (IMHO) food. Oh, and there's Planet Hollywood and the Hard Rock Cafe. THese 4 are all in the same general area between Ohio, Huron, Michigan, and Wells.

Hope this helps!

I second the vote for Eduardo's. They offer whole wheat crusts
as well as regular, and they grow their own basil for their excellent basil salads. Wonderful place.

Try 57th St almost directly east of the Science Museum. It's a UC strip of nice urban chic/funk shops - bookstores, eateries, Kinkos, etc. The bookstores are fascinating, and the eateries pretty good. Especially, the restaurant serving goat cheese pizza, though the rest of the fare is healthier - and very good. I think it's name is Medici's.

The UC area is quite a place! The Robie Frank Lloyd Wright house is in the neighborhood. Check it out.

At the Science Museum be sure to get a ticket to the Omni Theatre presentation - wrap around, avante guard cinematography.
