Ravinia Bistro in Highland Park (not to be confused with the Bistro in Highwood) is a nice spot, and it's only steps from the Chicago & Northwestern stop (Ravinia). Cafe Pyrenees is a great value, and we've always had good food there. The location, in the River Tree Court shopping plaza in Vernon Hills, is about as bad as you'd expect. Worth a shot, though. We also like Betise at Plaza del Lago in Wilmette.
