Anybody who's more acquainted with the genre care to compare it to their faves? I'm pretty new to it myself... (FTR, it's on Church across from the library and next to Whole Foods...)

Dude, that place is SCARY. At least for a jew like me. Went there with my boss to eat a while back. I grew up in Rogers' Park so the whole pakastani cab driver thing isn't new to me but the place was just creepy to me. It's dark, small, cramped and their menu consists of 8 entrees written on a dry erase board stuck in the corner.
The food rocks, tho. Spicy and filling. It kinda sits at the pit of yer stomach and mocks you for a few hours afterwards, but that much is expected. Word to the wise, however, don't be shocked when everyone goes to pray midday. That's normal for Baba's.
