The Grecian Psistaria, on on the south side of Touhy, just east of the Edens Expressway. Terrific Greek food.

I'm never eating there again--they got cited by the health department for improper meat handling. If I want authentic Greek, I go to Mykonos on Golf west of Milwaukee...

.'Tel Aviv' on California just south of Devon. Excellent falafel.

.'Devon Pizza' on Devon and Sacramento.
(excellent tandoori and giardinara pizzas. no, not on the same pizza)

.'Bunny Hutch' on Lincoln just north of Devon. Childhood favorite.

.'What's Cooking' in the being-remodeled Lincoln Village. Matzo ball soup.

.'Eastern Style Pizza' on Touhy just west of California. Good too.

.'Pita Inn' on Dempster in Skokie. The other crossroad escapes me.

And if you have nowhere else to go and can't do any better:

.'Whistlers' on Devon across from the K-Mart near McCormick.
Not the best food, but not the worst either.

It is, after all, my old hood. I gotta represent, yo.

 matt.
