Try Printer's Row, an established, intimate restaurant in the Printer's Row area, just south of the Palmer House. I also suggest you pick up a copy of Chicago magazine, which has an excellent dining guide -- comprehensive and unbiased. It will contain a description and star-rating of this restaurant and others in the area. Chicago is a great eating town
-- don't waste your time there on a lackluster restaurant!

I used to eat at the Italian Villiage when I lived in Chicago in the mid050s. Same restaurant, although I don't remember there being three distinct restaurants in those days. I ate upstairs in a room that looked like a Roman hillside - twinkle lights in the ceiling for stars, etc. They had great pizza then, too.

Cheers,
Phil
