I just got back from a trip to the Chicago area. Here is a list of brewpubs:

1. Goose Island, 1800 N. Clyburn

Excellent brews, my favorite of what is on tap now is Hopscotch Ale, one of the hoppiest beers I've had in a long time.

2. Weinkeller's, Roosevelt Rd, Berwyn

Brew is also good, but I really didn't like the Kriek lambic. didn't taste anything like a belgian kriek, and smelled like cherry flavored cough syrup.

3. Millrose, off of Barington Rd, Barrington.

Interesting brews, but way out in the suburbs.

4. Berghof's Restaurant, downtown.

I've heard that they have contract - brewed stuff, but can't verify it. Ok beer. Apparently they used to have a brewpub on Ontario, but it closed down (was Sieben's before that.)

Hope this helps!
