I used to live in the neighborhood, and my general opinion was that Bernard was a good place to go for the French classics like Cassolet Toulouse, Boeuf Bourgignon, Coq au Vin, etc. (probably not spelling all of these correctly). Their wine list is missing both the big names and the big prices, so you'll have to ask for recommendations. The restaurant itself is a charming country french style place and the service is good.
