Sawa's Old Warsaw- great Polish buffet, make sure and say hello to the Pope when you walk in. Take all you want, but eat all you take.

White Eagle is more of a freaking convention facility. Every time I've been there it's a mob scene. Last time they set up a table for us in the bar (we "knew" somebody).

I had two things I'd never had before- czernina and Okacim (sp?). One is different (in a good way) the other causes a headache so bad you might have to throw up.

Out near Oak Park, is Sawa's. And the food is NOT bland, or terribly expensive. The other wonderful restaurant is the House of the White Eagle which I think is in Niles.
