The new owners of pizza delivery and carry out on Main (east of Chicago) = bought the adjoining storefront and serve Afghan food. It was very very = good. It's family run (service was from the young teenage son). Last = Friday my friend and I were the only patrons eating there (while a = steady stream of people came in the other side to pick up pizza)

This is a new cuisine for me - similar to Greek and middle-eastern. I = had a lamb kebob over rice. The soup (can't recall what it was called = the son had a little trouble pronouncing it!) The appetizer was = excellent a baked dumpling thing.

There were several vegetarian items on the menu as well

Dan

I went there for lunch based on this posting. It was very good and quite cheap. I had a really excellent lamb kebab with basmati rice. It came with a strange but good soup made with lemo, spinach, cardamom and I don't know what else. It also came with a salad that was admittedly seriously lame.

I ate with a friend whose main course I didn't try. We shared two appetizers -- some kind of eggplant spread thing that was pretty good and "Aushak" which are scallion dumplings. The dumplings were really tasty.

So, I'd give this place a definite thumbs-up. I will definitely go back and I'll definitely tell friends about it.
