The Chinese restaurant (not the French one) in the Regent Hotel had the most expensive and the most extraordinary Chinese food I've ever had in my life. And I've been to HK several times and eaten at lots of 50 cent local places and mid-priced family restaurants, all highly recommended. It's kind of heresy to eat in a hotel in HK, but boy, was it good.

The second place on the left on Food Street (with your back to the bay) is good, too, but I can't remember the name.

: Try the floating restaurants in the Aberdeen area!!

: Have fun!

Depends on what kind of food you like and your budget. For
high price seafood, go to Sun Tong Lok Shark Fin and Seafood
restaurant. There are several of them scattered all over
Hong Kong and the tourist association should have their addresses.
There are a couple revolving restaurants that offer a magnificant
view of Hong Kong, especailly at night. I think one is call
Revolving 66 or something like that. The Peak restaurant also
has a nice view. For specialty/regional Chinese food, there are
Cantonese Garden Restaurant, Shanghai Garden Restaurant, etc.
These are quite expensive, but very good and clean. I can go on
and on. You can also get a brochure from the Hong Kong Tourist
Association in New York. (I think it is called Hong Kong Guide -
Dining and Entertainment.) It also includes a list of nightclubs.
The phone number for the H.K. Tourist Office in New York is:
      (212) 869-5008. By the way, the name of the other revolving restaurant
      is La Ronda.
      Hope this helps.
