First...a Big Thanks to all of you that sent recommendations on places to eat in Atlanta! I've got one more week to go and my business will be finished. I'll try to put together a spot on the mentionable and unmentionable results in a future post.

The January/February 1998 issue of Atlanta Now featured a small piece on none other than "Legendary chef Guenter Seeger", formerly the chef at the Ritz-Carlton in Buckhead, Atlanta, GA.

Guenter's new place is called "Seeger's", located at 111 West Paces Ferry Road in Atlanta, GA, (404) 846-9779. The write up had this to say: <semi-quote> Seeger's recently opened in an old craftsman-style bungalow that boasts an intimate, elegant design that plays off a homey feel of its building through the utilization of red carpet, yellow leather banquettes, and gray and yellow seat covers. A winding, cherry wood staircase serves as a centerpiece of the restaurant. Minimal lighting lends romance, while the landscaping enchants and excites.

From the European classic-contemporary design to the daily changing modern classical cuisine, Seeger's is revolutionary. The restaurant's design reflects Guenter's style, panache and personality. Offered are a three-course dinner, a five-course dinner and a four-course vegetarian dinner. Reservations accepted.

Volume 2 Issue 3 of "Where to Dine - Atlanta" says that: <semi-quote> Yam puree with pomegranate juice adorned a dish of squab, served pink, at a press opening bash for the newly opened Seeger's. Guenter does small feathered game particularly well, and as he loves to cook game, squab is likely to appear often.

Guenter's been a little busy...read on...

Again, from the Volume 2 Issue 3 of "Where to Dine - Atlanta": <semi-quote> The Mumbo Jumbo Bar & Grill located in downtown section of Atlanta (one block south of the Ritz-Carlton, Atlanta) has a contemporary American menu created by none other than Guenter Seeger and executed by chef Shaun Doty! The establishment is described as a "funky, modern, ultra-hip, hot supper club". Reservations suggested. (404) 523-0330.
