No! No! No! These are all tourist restaurants!! Surely there must be some decent dining downtown. When I was in Atlanta a couple of years ago, with the exception of Ciboulette (are they still good?) which was a bit out of downtown, all the really good restaurants seemed to be out in Buckhead. Is this still the case? -- Bill [email removed]

Is this still the case? A collegue and I had dinner at Ciboulette a few months ago, and it was divine. As for downtown eats, there's really not too much -- I've been to both Nikolai's Roof and The Abbey, which were both fair (not spectacular ... though the wine list at The Abbey was quite good ... I'm not planning to return to either anytime soon), but Ciboulette blew them both away. I'd recommend 103 West, at 103 West Paces Ferry Road, or Bones (if you like meat), or any of the Peasant Group Restaurants (The Pleasant Peasant, The Peasant Uptown, and a couple of others whose names escape me) for less fancy environs but equally good food. Cheers,
