A matter of opinion and where one has eaten is bound to influence that. I have tried a number of 3 star restaurants in Europe, but have many left to try. Girardet near Lausanne, or perhaps he is too old (I have tried to book a table a few times, but have not mangaged so far, even though I tried several months in advance) Noel Robuchon in Paris is hot. Lameloise in Bourgogne, Troisgros in Roanne. In London, my favourite is Koffmans, La Tante Claire, with Marco P. White and The Restaurant as a runner up. But best in the world. I still need a few decades to find out about that. But, I working on it. By the way, the restaurant newsgroup in UK is rarely visited. Pity, because the scope of alt.restaurants is to wide. Oystein
