The food was not well prepared and would have been very overpriced even if it had been prepared properly. Every place else we went was excellent! In all fairness I'd check with the locals about this when you get there since The Banyon Tree has been around for several years and it may have just been a very off night for the kitchen. In our case the waitress was so good that we decided not to complain to the management on the spot. Best, Gerry P.S. If you're driving down the Keys from Miami and have the time the restaurants at Cheeca Lodge Resort in Islamarada are five star! You don't have to stay there to use them.

I just got back from there and I thought that the 2 best resturants were the "Pier House Resturant" (especially around sunset, because you get an unobstructed view of the most famous suset in the world) and "Martha's" on Roosevelt Blvd. My Dad thought "Martha's" was better..... At "Martha's" if you get in the door before 6pm, every person in your party get's $5 off their entree price (except the specials). I ate mostly Grouper, Conch, Swordfish, and dolphin fish. Enjoy!
