Thanks to all who provided me with information on places to eat in the Tampa/Clearwater area. Although we were there to visit in-laws, we managed to go out to eat a few times and enjoy some local flavors.

The highlights:
1) We went to Crabby Bill's twice! My husband insisted...he had the blackened tuna at lunch for about $4.95 and thought he'd died and gone to heaven. The first time we were there for dinner, waiting in the line outside (only about 20 min wait), and were served FREE beer by the staff (more points scored with my husband). The second time we were there for lunch, got right in, only to find that Crabby Bill himself was there and buying a round of anything (cokes for us) for the whole place. Life was good!

2) My husband and I ventured off one evening without the kids and headed to St Pete's pier area for dinner. We had had a late lunch and weren't very hungry. We ended up having a nice antipasto salad with some fresh bread and good house red wine over looking the water at a place called Nick's. The other patron's seemed to be enjoying some wonderful Italian dishes in this nice little restaurant.

3) After the salad at Nick's we drove over to the Vinoy (Stouffer's) Hotel next door and enjoyed a wonderful dessert and coffee in their restaurant/lounge area. What a lovely hotel! We wished we had an extra two hundred dollars laying around to stay the nite there! Oh well, maybe next time.
