Stan-Wolfie's is down toward South Beach, near the Lincoln Road yupscale shopping area. There's also the Rascal House, which is in North Miami Beach. Both have serious deli style food. Corky's (another deli with some of the best latkes in existence) moved up to Fort Lauderdale or Miami. Mike Gordon's Seafood Restaurant is on the mainland off the 69th St. causeway. It's more reasonably priced and less pretentious than Joe's Stone Crab. There's a good Cuban restaurant at Biscayne Blvd and 8th St or so called Puerto Sagua.

There are plenty of chain places in Orlando. I was there for a meeting a year ago and was extremely unimpressed. Since I didn't have a car, I was stuck with the offerings on International Drive near the Convention Center. There is a branch of Monte's (famed Miami seafood restaurant) in the International Drive area. Not bad. Don't worry about Orlando restaurants not being kid friendly-the joints are full of them.

If I think of any others in Miami, I'll let you know.

Yeah Great!

Unless you tip the Maitre d' $100. expect to spend about four hours in line to get a crowded table and have an insufferably rude server throw overcooked crab claws at you. Great fun. Bring your children too, Joe's will cook them to order during your wait.
