I was just there a couple of weeks ago for a conference and had the BEST steak at LG's in Palm Desert. Not cheap, and everything's ala carte, but it was truly a wonderful treat.

Also ate at one of the Las Casuelas restaurants on the main drag in Palm Springs. It was just barely average...quite a disappointment after the good things I'd heard.

Steve, By far the best restaurant, food wise, in Palm Springs is the one at the Givenchy spa, the name escapes me but but it is spectacular. The clientele is a little on the senior side and the ambience, while stunning, is hushed, but the food is the best I've had outside Paris. Another suggestion would be Jillian's, rustic, romantic and cozy, with very good food and a nice piano bar. It is in Palm Desert, 30 min from PS. Enjoy
