I have been going there since I was little, and my husband and I were married there last March!! My favorite restaurants are: Wally's Desert Turtle in Rancho Mirage, it is $$ but incredible food and atmosphere, You'll find it on Highway 111; Cafe des Beaux Arts, this is on El Paseo in Palm Desert, a little French Cafe, very good; Vicki's of Santa Fe, this is a "sister" restaurant of a place called Vanessie in Santa Fe, very interesting menu, great piano bar, it is on Highway 111 in Palm Desert; Dar Mahgreb, this is a great morroccan place on the corner of Bob Hope and 111 in Rancho Mirage. Excellent Food. Have a great time, and if you want to see something totally spectacular go out to the La Quinta Resort in La Quinta, the flowers are AMAZING at this time of year.
