Let me preface this by saying that I have no idea what their current situation is after the hurricane last week, but the absolute best meal I had in Miami was Mark's Place in North Miami Beach. It has the highest rating for food that I have ever seen in Zagat, a 28. A really great place, very stylish patrons, too (well, except for me that time). The brother/sister team who runs Le Bernardin in NYC also opened a place in Coral Gables (I think), and it is supposed to be excellent.
