Forget South Beach.  Drive 15 minutes west to Coral Gables and go to Norman's.   IMNSHO, one the be all time greats.  Norm Van Aken is truly a master.

Loews Hotel, called the Gaucho Room. It's an
Argentinian steakhouse. Excellent food and
service, beautiful place. My parents went there
on their anniversary recently and loved it.
