I don't have details on the food for all
of these. I have my notes on tape and
I haven't gotten around to transcribing them
yet. I've had a few health problems since
I've been back and just don't have the
energy. But here's what I can tell you off
the top of my head. Also included are
non-diners.

Wellsboro, PA - Wellsboro Diner (L)
Syracuse, NY - Doc's Little Gem Diner (D)
(fried chicken and mashed potatoes and
cole slaw - chicken okay, potatoes bad/lumpy,
cole slaw okay - service very friendly, at the
    expense, however, of efficiency)
Rome, NY - Paramount Diner (L)
    (excellent hot roast pork sandwich)
Sabael, NY - Adirondack BBQ Smokehouse at the
Snowy Mountain Inn (D) (exquisite smoke-roasted
duck - the whole dinner with salad, potato, veggie
was only $15 and I got a *whole* half a duck!!!!)
Port Henry, NY - Miss Port Henry Diner (B)
Burlington, VT - Parkway Diner (L)
Killington, VT - VT Sheep and Wool Festival (L)
(best lamb I've ever eaten - the food vendor was
Greek and they had gigantic lamb kebabs grilled
over an open fire and served on a hotdog bun - it
actually would have made 2 very over-stuffed
hotdog buns - there was a *ton* of meat - with
lettuce, tomato, and tzatziki sauce - it was $7+
but worth every penny - the lamb was succulent,
juicy, charred black on the outside, medium on the
inside - just the way I like my meat!)
Burlington, VT - Oasis Diner (L)
Lincoln, NH - Sunny Day Diner (B)
Farmington, ME - Farmington Diner (L) (very bad food! -
fried chicken, apparently "breaded" with a very fine
corn meal which ended up looking like a coating of
plaster, whole thing was totally flavorless; Greek-style
zucchini in a tomato sauce, world's oldest zucchini,
tough and woody, blecch, made them
exchange it for cole slaw which was pretty good.)
Bar Harbor, ME - Maine Street Restaurant (D)
(had my lobstah roll here with fries and coleslaw
and even tried a Bar Harbor Blueberry Ale even
    though I'm not fond of ales - I'm a lager-lover -
but I was really curious - not bad at all for an
ale - the food was excellent)
Searsport, ME - Irving Truck Stop Restaurant (B)
(bad decision-making on my part - what the
hell was I thinking? - well, it's a long story why
    I stopped here - anyway - the world's worst
blueberry pancakes served with the world's worst
syrup - several rungs below Log Cabin syrup)
Rowley, MA - Agawam Diner (D)
Waltham, MA - Wilson's Diner (B)
Somerville, MA - Rosebud Diner (L)
Waltham, MA - Bombay Mahal Restaurant (D)
(tried a lamb dish I've never heard of before
in an Indian restaurant - Lamb Xacuti - my
friend recommended it - it was good but not
something I would order again - there are other
Indian lamb dishes I like better - excellent samosas
here but could have used more peas - the pastry
was perfect and perfectly cooked - great naan, too)
Waterbury, CT - Silver Diner (B)

The rest of the time in VT we ate in (breakfast
and dinner) or ate cheese (various Cabot cheddars, naturally, crackers, and fruit for a picnic lunch on the road.
