It was recommended to us by a Danish couple we met on a train in Germany and we are not sorry that we took their advice. Quality of the foods was very high with a large variety of items. The price was very reasonable when compared to others in the town. Why would you want Italian or French in Denmark!?!?!

August in Copenhagen should be great. Summer this year in Denmark is
scheduled for August 14th (Dane joke!). Seriously, Tivoli is open during this time and if you can afford it, get reservations for Belle Terrace. This will really set you back, but it is a chance to eat in a 4 star rated (Michelin) restaurant. The Queen Margeurite eats there often. I've quite a few Danish friends, and worked as the Banquet Director at a Dane Hotel in Laguna Beach, Ca. This is the ultimate, and it's on Robin Leach's top 5 worldwide as well. Try the national desert, r0d gr0d med flother ( pronounced...believe it or not, hoyl koil mel fluuther!), the waiters and captains will get a kick out of your attempt to pronounce it! The street vendors sell hot dogs, Dane style...best in the world bar none (polser). Try a mid-low priced restaurant for the sm0rbort (smorgasbord, mainly sandwiches...again great stuff). You might be suprised at breakfast, its usually pumpernickel and some smely cheese along with some butter and good coffee, but it's good! Talk to you later, Tim--
