Hey there!
Looking through my records of Prague I saw the name of a brew-pub there. It is called "U fleku". As I can remember they have a nice garden and a very good brewery as well. They serve an almost dark beer but it tastes like a bright one. They also serve good Bohemian cuisine and are quite cheap (1/4 to 1/3 of Austrian prices). I am sorry for the address, but I might have lost it.
For Budapest I can give the hint not to eat in the restaurants near "Halasz- bastya" (the "Fisherman's castle"). The restaurants there are very touristy and therefore very expensive concerning Hungarian restaurants. But they are still half as expensive as in Austria.
Hope that helped a little
Bernie
