Also in the vicinity are Max a Mia, route 44 in Avon, and Piccolo Arrancio on Route 4 in Farmington Center both are very good, casual sort of noveau Italian. (Both of this are within a couple hundred yards of the river). Stay west of Avon Mountain and Hartford, most of the good Hartford restaurants are in in the suburbs.
