My opinion obviously doesn't coincide with a lot of people since these restaurants are always busy, but we avoid Olive Garden, Black Angus, Steaksmith, Denny's, Shoney's, Garfield's (was okay for lunch) and the buffet places.

Italian - Antonio's (also has fresh seafood selection of the day which has been good and prepared in other than run-of-the-mill manner). Some people think Antonio's is expensive, but we don't think it's out of line (I think veal is about $18). Luigi's is supposed to be good, but haven't been there.

Broadmoor Tavern - best service and good food - not cheap

For steak - we prefer Lonestar over Outback and others

Hamburgers - Red Robin, Red Top is well-liked (huge but thin) (also Gunther Toody's Diner, greasy though)

Sarasota's is supposed to be good, also Something? Oyster Bar and Grill, but haven't been to either yet.

Opinions vary greatly on Mexican food, but I would try Jose Muldoon's or Pepe's based on comments from people at work. If you don't mind a mild mole sauce instead of the usual, Henri's would probably be okay.

Have been told European Cafe downtown has excellent Hungarian food (goulash and cabbage rolls, especially) and bread.

La Bagette in Old Colorado section had great onion soup and is a good bakery.

Cheyenne Mountain Conference Center is supposed to have the best Sunday brunch in town, but we haven't been there yet. We usually don't plan very far ahead, and whenever we have called for reservations, they've been booked up.

You can go to *almost* any restaurant in town dressed casually, even jeans, except the Broadmoor.
