What kinda of food? Since I started working downtown it has become my goal to eat at every single restaurant.

Some of my favorites:
rocky mountain diner (diner food with a yuppie twist, loike buffalo meatloaf)
trinity bar and grill ( don't miss the crab and corn chowder!)
that vietnemese restarant at 15th and california (I can never remember
the name)
  mt. everest indian buffet
  deli darba indian buffet
  paradise bakery
cheesecake factory (has about a 40 page menu and everything's great!)
  bayou bobs (cajun)
cajun restaurant at union square (also forgot the name)
rodesio grill about at wazee and 18th. The brazillion house of *meat*! you
fill on a salad bar and then the servers bring 6-10 different kinds of skerewered meats like prime rib, ham&pineapple, bacon&turkey, etc. Take care not to die of colestral poisoning.!

This last one isn't downtown but it is a 5 star restaurant at four star prices. Nowhere have I had as good seafood: 'the fresh fish company' at hampton just east of I25.

I agree about a lot of these, but absolutely not the last. (You haven't been near an ocean lately!) The fish is OK for Denver, but grossly overpriced (because they have so many 50% off coupons in circulation!) and the service can be very snotty. About half the time we get charged for extra entrees here--like five meals for four of us, and that extra $25-30 is pretty obvious on the check. Much rather eat at McCormick's Seafood downtown in the Oxford Hotel for fish. Also, you forgot the old standards--Tante Louise, Cafe Normandy, LeCentral, Hugh's, European Cafe, etc. Lots of new places on Market near the new baseball stadium if you like microbreweries and nouvelle cuisine.

If you want "Wild West" style, either The Fort (recommended highly!), the Buckhorn Exchange, or the Denver Buffalo Company for buffalo, deer, elk, moose, etc., Most have sampler plates if you just want to taste everything.
