I have to say, the Aspen Mountain Cafe is vastly overrated, even if you like 'natural' cuisine. We had breakfast there recently and my grandson (who will eat anything not nailed down) said "Grandma, can we go somewhere else for lunch?" There is a place called the Craftwood Inn which has been there a long time. I've not eaten there lately, but have heard many good things about it. Jan

I haven't been there for a couple of years but there was a place on the right side of the main road as you drove into Manitou from old Colorado City that served a lot of "wild" meats (venison, buffalo) reasonable prices and intersting food.
