They serve latin american cuisine with a sophisticated touch. They're located at John St., near the theater where Beauty and the Beast is playing. The decor is very nice and the service efficient and knowledgeable. They give you complimentary dips (white bean dip, guacamole and a seafood one when we went 2 weeks ago)which you can eat with several different kinds of crusty breads. We then had an empanada filled with blue cheese, pears and caramelized onions as an appetizer. It was wonderful and it was surrounded with a mesclun mix salad with a nice vinaigrette. For entrees we chose a Peruvian Chupe (a seafood stew which was out of this world) and Marinated Pork Tenderloins served with plaintain chips and garlic mashed potatoes. Finally for dessert we shared a Nicaraguan Tres Leches. It was delicate and a nice touch to end our meal. I had a cocktail drink and my husband had a beer and the bill came to about $90 canadian including taxes, but not the tip. It's not cheap, but then again the food was absolutely wonderful. If you like dancing to tropical music you can do so on their second floor. Reservations are essential. We went there on a Saturday night and the place was packed. It seems they've only been open for a few months and they got an excellent review on the Toronto Star. Have a nice trip. Liliana Celedon [email removed] [email removed]
