It is definitely brisket, but it falls somewhere between corned beef and pastrami. Can't really come up with a better description. It is in every deli, melts in your mouth. The big deli's are Dunn's and Reuben's, on Ste. Catharine, Schwartz on St. Laurent (or is it St. Denis?) and Ben's on Maisonneuve. There is also a German place, Chez Better, that has a great selection of smoked sausages, bratwurst, etc. The food in the city is worth the trip, that and the hockey!Montreal, Canada
