I used to work in that building. A great place to go, even though it's Chinese, is Yank Sing, a dim sum restaurant on Stevenson between 1st and 2nd. (Stevenson is an alley between Mission and Market.) This is a nice, very well-reviewed dim sum place that has excellent food. If you're looking for good sushi in the neighborhood, try Tachibana, on Mission near Beale. More low-key options include Palio D'Asti, an Italian spot kitty-corner from the 50 Beale St. building, and Rincon Center, a big mall-type building with a food court on Spear between Mission and Howard.
