Within walking distance of the Convention Center is a tough one....but I will throw out a few anyway....

California Cuisine:

Frank Fats', 806 "L" Street, phone (916) 442-7092. Varied fare, always excellent. Prices: moderate to expensive, but worth the cost. Dress: Lunch - casual. Dinner - Casual to better than casual.

Italian:
Il Fornaio (pronounced "ill for-neye-oh"), 400 Capitol Mall, phone (916) 446-4400. Original (Northern) Italian food. excellent bread, excellent wine. Prices: inexpensive to moderate. Dress: Lunch - casual. Dinner - casual. (There are actually places that are much better, but not within walking distance of the CC....Il Fornaio is great, but the others are _EXCELLENT_.)

Seafood:
None within walking distance of CC. Scott's is not in downtown, but is one of the best seafood restaurants you could find in Sacramento. Scott's is : 545 Monroe, phone (916) 489-1822. They have a seafood capelini that is to die for. It really is worth the trip....and they have an extensive wine list, too. I have eaten at the one in Oakland, as well (Jack London Square), in it was just as good, if not better.

Vegis:
None within walking distance that I know.

BTW, it's "Muchas Gracias" (Pronounced "moo-chahs grahs-yahs")

Hope this helps.
