I'll have to try Santa; have you tried Kisaku (San Mateo on 4th)? Kisaku's probably my No.1. Sushi Sam's (on 3rd) is also good. Mutsu (on 2nd?) used to be really good but became a bit overpriced. Haven't been there in awhile, but recommend the tonkatsu there (also had good yosenabe). Also, for noodles, try Spiral in San Bruno (nr San Bruno Ave and El Camino). Haven't tried, but inside Suruki Market in DT San Mateo looks pretty good... Gotta agree w/you on Ramen Club, Ringer Hut, and Katana-ya. Ramen Club is best so far; I cannot understand how Ringer Hut became such a supposedly big chain -- maybe it's different in Japan, but the Ringer Huts here are terrible (IMHO). MY Ramen (and udon/soba) list: ***+ Ramen Club *** Mifune (esp udon & soba) - was one in Burlingame, now gotta go to Nihonmachi :-( **+ Spiral + Katana-ya - Ringer Hut Thanks for YOUR ratings! -mike ------------- To Here--------------------------------------------
