I don't live in Riverside full time, so much of this is from memory.

I've heard people say a lot of good things about the food at the Mission Inn, but it might be on the expensive side. I believe they serve both lunch and Sunday brunch.

Backstreet, right off of Brockton in the Magnolia Center section of town, is a good sandwhich shop-- decent prices, good food, but I don't think it's open Sundays.

A Taste of New Orleans, in the Canyon Crest Towne Center, is probably open for both lunch and Sunday brunch. It's been a few years since I've been there, but I remember it being pretty good.

Riverside might have some decent restaurants-- but they tend to not have much atmosphere or be chains, which means they wouldn't be what you're looking for.

Good luck.
