I think the best place to eat in Lafayette (still) is Millie's Kitchen. It's been there for at least 20 years. Try it sometime anyways. Millie's is located on Oak Hill Rd., right there, just below the freeway. Granted it's breakfast/lunch fare, but the food has always been great and so has the service.
