A recent seafood special of the day I had was trout with mango relish. Carmel is immediately south of Monterey. Cafe Stravaganza is in the Crossroads Center at the intersection of Highway 1 & Rio Road. In terms of quietness at restaurants, I have also found the ones in Carmel to be more relaxed than those in Monterey. Please also note, however, that most businesses in Carmel are not open as late. Stores tend to close at 6 PM while restaurants close between 8 and 9 PM.
