I don't have much experience in Sonoma, but a good lunch in the cafe gave us a taste of what the food in the restaurant might be. Unfortuantely we were passing through and the formal restaurant was only open for dinner, at least on weekdays offseason. Anyway lunch was excellent for what it offered, but the cup of squash soup was as good as I'd hope to expect from a haute cuisine restuarant in France. Otherwise, lunch was mostly salads and sandwiches, albeit fine salads and sandwiches. From what we could taste, this might be the best restaurant in the county. I'd certainly try and work it in to any next trip we take.
