QUESTION: Santa Barbara, CA - Lunch Bistro with a real Chef

 Larry,
Absolutely there are great places in SantaBarbara. My easy favorite is The
Wine Cask, on Anacapa St. Great food, very professional, not too formal, and
a stunning wine list. They also have a small bistro attached, Intermezzo, for
lighter fare. And Their wine shop is best in SantaBarbara. Great people there.
Another, bit simpler more bistro like, is Cuvee, just of State St in the
downtown area. Same owners as WineCask, smaller wine list, bit more casual and
 bit less expensive.
